In summer camp last year we wondered. As we wondered, we looked to the sky, at the trees, and down below. Wondering worked its way into writing and poetry was born.
I WONDER
- by Ann Elise
I wonder why the sky is blue
I wonder why the stars twinkle
I wonder why the birds fly
I wonder why the seals swim
I wonder why butterflies fly
I wonder why the clouds move
I wonder why birds eat bugs
I wonder why trees fall
I wonder why dragonflies fly
I wonder why people talk
i WONDER
- by Grace
I wonder why lizards tails grow back
I wonder why we need looks
I wonder why people litter
I wonder why plants grow
I wonder why bugs are little
I wonder why nature eats nature
I wonder when this path will end
I Wonder

Why is the sky blue?
Why is the wood brown?
Why are leaves green?
Why is water blue?
Why are bones white?
Why are rocks sharp?
Why is fire hot?
Why can birds fly?
Why is snow cold?
Why do I live?
