KIDS WRITE

a selection of writings, musings, and more from young writers

No Homework by Leila

I have five reasons for strongly believing that kids shouldn't have homework. First, they should spend more time with their family to see how the day went. Kids should spend more time with their family at night because if they don’t see them a lot maybe they will forget about them forever. You could see how their day went and if there is anything you would like to talk about or if anything is bothering you. And finally, they could go to amusement parks or Daddy/daughter days to bond.

Second, they shouldn't have to do homework because the homework is what they already learned in class. Kids should have no homework because some have already learned the lesson in class. Doing the homework might be annoying and they might not want to do it at all.

Fourth, kids shouldn't have homework because they could be learning something else and should not have to stick with the same thing every day.

Fifth, for some the homework might be too hard. They might frustrate themselves to where they don’t believe they can do it all. They might be too hard on themselves and they might start crying.  If they don’t get their homework done because they didn’t understand and their parents couldn’t help they would get a zero. That’s not good.
