Reading Across America

An exploration of a select group of classic American authors, this class spans the various regions of our country during different periods of time. From F. Scott Fitzgerald’s New York to Stenbeck’s California, and various spots in between, this class will also help students learn about the elements of fiction, American history, point of view and perspective, and more. A range of full length novels to short stories and poetry will be covered as well as supplementing with some historical non-fiction. Students will be expected to create works in a visual, written, or multi-media format to demonstrate their understanding of the readings throughout the class.
